Armenia
Since their first participation in 2006 Armenia has been rather successful: they missed out on the Grand Final only three times, and more than half of their entries have landed in the top 10. Two times they reached the fourth place: first in 2008, with Sirusho and her song Qele, qele, and second in 2014, with Aram Mp3 and his song Not alone. A small footnote to the success is that they didn't reach the final on the last two occasions they participated.
With their neighbouring country Azerbaijan they still have a conflict over the Nagorno-Karabakh region, and that mutual enmity has been felt several times during the contest.
